THE MATTESON FOUNDATION
The Matteson Foundation is a 501c3 public charity that was formed in 2013 after the Matteson family decided that it was important to give back to the community in which they call home.
The Matteson Foundation Mission Statement:
The Matteson Foundation principal activities will consist of fundraising and raising awareness about the growing hunger problems that our children from elementary through high school face in this nation. We currently partner with a backpack program and support a local elementary school in Leander, Texas. The plans are to grow the number of students that our organization can afford to feed on a yearly basis. We also have plans to help educate and raise funds and awareness for people that suffer from Food Allergies.
“I was blessed and privileged to serve as a board member on The PGA TOUR Wives Association. The wonderful leadership we had at that company opened my eyes to the challenges that face communities across this nation. I met so many wonderful people that try everyday to make a difference in the lives of others and that really hit home for me. So Troy and I decided some time ago with the help of our family that we would start our own foundation and make a difference in our own hometown. And after becoming parents it was even more apparent to us what issues we wanted to address, hunger and food allergy awareness. So it is our great pleasure to help provide meals at holidays and assist in the local elementary back pack program and we hope to grow our donations and fundraising each year to help even more kids.”
